These zesty marinated chicken skewers are infused with a delicious blend of spices and yogurt, offering a tantalizing flavor that will delight your taste buds.
Ingredients
1 cup plain yogurt
2 teaspoons garam masala
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh ginger
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 pound chicken thighs
Method
In a large zip-top bag, combine yogurt, garam masala, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, grated ginger, and curry powder to create a flavorful marinade.
Slice each chicken thigh into 3 or 4 strips, then add them to the marinade in the bag, sealing it tightly. Refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and set an oven rack in the middle. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Thread the marinated chicken strips onto six 15-inch metal skewers, placing them across the prepared baking sheet with the ends resting on the edges.
Bake the skewers in the oven for approximately 15 minutes. Once they are cooked through, remove them from the oven.
Switch your oven setting to broil and adjust the rack to about 6 inches from the heating element. Broil the chicken skewers for 3 minutes, watching closely until they achieve a nice char.
