These zesty grilled steak tacos are marinated in a vibrant citrus blend and grilled to perfection, making for a deliciously flavorful meal.
Ingredients
1 piece jalapeno
2 cloves garlic
to taste none kosher salt
to taste none black pepper
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 pound steak
Method
In a mortar and pestle, mash together chopped jalapeno, minced garlic, kosher salt, and black pepper until a smooth paste forms.
In a clean glass jar, combine lime juice, orange juice, and vinegar. Add the garlic mixture and shake well to mix thoroughly. Place the steak in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it is evenly coated. Cover with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours.
Preheat your grill to a medium heat setting and lightly oil the grill grate to prevent the meat from sticking.
Remove the steak from the marinade and place it on a cutting board. Season both sides with extra salt and pepper, then slice thinly against the grain.
Grill the steak for approximately 5 minutes on each side, or until it is charred to your liking and still slightly pink in the middle.
