These zesty beef taco sliders are a delightful twist on traditional tacos, combining savory shredded beef with all your favorite toppings, perfect for a cozy dinner or casual gathering.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
3 pounds beef roast
1 packet taco seasoning
1 cup salsa
12 pieces slider buns
to taste none sliced avocados
to taste none sliced olives
to taste none sliced jalapenos
to taste none crema
to taste none cheese
Method
In a spacious stockpot, melt butter and heat grapeseed oil over medium-high flame. Cut the beef roast into thirds and generously coat each piece with taco seasoning. Sear the beef until it's beautifully browned on all sides, about 8 to 10 minutes.
Spread half a cup of salsa evenly at the bottom of a slow cooker. Carefully position the browned roast inside the cooker and pour the remaining salsa over the top.
Cover the slow cooker and let the beef cook until it's tender enough to pull apart with a fork, which will take around 8 hours on low or 6 hours on high. Once cooked, remove the meat and shred it with two forks.
Adjust the oven rack to about 6 inches below the broiler and preheat it.
Toast the slider buns under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes, keeping a vigilant watch to avoid burning.
Assemble each slider by adding about a quarter cup of the shredded beef onto the toasted bun, then top with your choice of sliced avocados, olives, jalapenos, crema, and cheese.
