These vibrant green deviled eggs make a fun and festive appetizer, perfect for any celebration. Their unique marbled appearance and delicious filling will delight your guests.
Ingredients
6 pieces eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons celery
a few drops none green food coloring
as needed none egg dye
for garnish sprigs parsley
Method
Begin by placing the eggs in a large saucepan, covering them with water. Bring the water to a vigorous boil, then remove the pan from heat and let the eggs steep in the hot water for 15 minutes.
Carefully move the hard-boiled eggs to a bowl filled with ice-cold water or refrigerate them, allowing them to chill completely for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare your egg dye following the package instructions, using a large metal or glass bowl for the task.
Gently crack the shells of the eggs but do not peel them, enabling the dye to seep into the egg whites.
In small groups, immerse the cracked eggs into the dye and let them soak for about 5 minutes until the color penetrates the cracks.
After dyeing, rinse the eggs under cool water and peel them to reveal a stunning green marbled design. Slice each egg in half lengthwise.
In a medium bowl, scoop out the yolks and mash them with a fork. Mix the yolks with finely chopped celery and mayonnaise until the mixture is creamy, then add a few drops of green food coloring for an extra festive flair.
Fill each egg half with the yolk mixture and top with a sprig of fresh parsley for garnish.
