These Thanksgiving Delight Egg Rolls are a creative twist on traditional holiday flavors, combining turkey, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole into a crispy, golden snack perfect for dipping in sweet and savory gravy.
Ingredients
2 cups shredded turkey
1 cup mashed potatoes
1 cup green bean casserole
to taste none salt
to taste none black pepper
10 pieces egg roll wrappers
1 cup gravy
1/2 cup cranberry sauce
for frying none oil
Method
In a large bowl, mix together shredded turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, ensuring everything is thoroughly combined.
Take an egg roll wrapper and place it on a clean surface, oriented with one corner facing you. Spoon approximately 3 tablespoons of the turkey mixture onto the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then tuck in the sides and roll it up tightly, sealing the edge with a little water. Repeat this process until all the filling and wrappers have been used.
In a small saucepan, combine the gravy and cranberry sauce. Heat over low, stirring constantly, until the mixture is warmed and well blended.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Carefully place 4 egg rolls into the hot oil, frying them until they are golden brown, which should take about 4 minutes. Use tongs to remove the egg rolls and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Continue with the remaining egg rolls. Serve hot with the warm gravy for dipping.
