A delectable pulled pork dish infused with sweet teriyaki flavors, perfect for a hearty dinner.
Ingredients
3 pounds pork roast
to taste none seasoned salt
4 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons oil
1 cup teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup marmalade
2 tablespoons water
Method
Preheat your oven to a low 275°F (135°C).
In a Dutch oven, heat a splash of oil over medium-high heat. Generously season the pork roast with seasoned salt on both sides, then sear in the hot oil for about 2 to 3 minutes per side until it's beautifully golden.
Stir in minced garlic and sauté for approximately 1 minute until the aroma fills the air. Remove the pot from the heat and drain any excess oil carefully.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, marmalade, and a small amount of water, then pour this mixture over the seared pork roast. Secure the pot with its lid.
Transfer the covered Dutch oven to the oven and allow it to cook for 2 to 3 hours, or until the pork is fork-tender and easily shreddable. Once ready, use two forks to pull apart the meat and drizzle the remaining teriyaki sauce over the shredded pork.
