This Savory Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowl combines tender, baked salmon drizzled with a homemade teriyaki glaze, served over a bed of rice and topped with fresh vegetables for a delicious, well-rounded meal.
Ingredients
1 piece salmon fillet
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
2 cups cooked rice
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup grated carrots
1/2 cup sliced radishes
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Method
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish by lightly coating it with cooking spray.
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and freshly grated ginger, whisking until well blended to form a delicious teriyaki glaze.
Place the salmon fillet in the baking dish, skin side down, and generously pour the teriyaki glaze over it.
Bake the salmon for approximately 12 to 15 minutes, or until it is tender and flakes easily when tested with a fork.
While the salmon is baking, prepare a bowl by adding a generous scoop of cooked rice as the base.
Once the salmon is done, carefully place it on top of the rice and drizzle some of the remaining teriyaki glaze from the baking dish over it.
Add a mix of shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and sliced radishes on top for a refreshing crunch.
Finally, garnish the dish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
