This tangy and savory meatloaf is a delightful twist on a classic dish, featuring a sweet glaze that complements the hearty flavor of the beef.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup pineapple preserves
Method
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, an egg, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce until well mixed. Then, transfer this mixture into a loaf pan measuring 9x5 inches.
Put the loaf pan into the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 50 minutes, or until the meatloaf is fully cooked.
While the meatloaf is baking, create the glaze by mixing ketchup, brown sugar, and pineapple preserves in a separate bowl.
About 20 minutes before the meatloaf is fully cooked, generously pour the glaze over the top and return it to the oven to finish baking.
