Ingredients
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cups flour
1 packet yeast
6 ounces tomato paste
1 ounce taco seasoning
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 can refried beans
1 cup salsa
1/2 cup onion
1 pound ground beef
2 cups Cheddar cheese
Method
Begin by adding water, salt, olive oil, flour, and yeast to your bread machine in the order recommended. Select the dough cycle and keep an eye on the consistency. If the dough looks dry, gradually mix in water by the tablespoon until it becomes smooth and elastic without being sticky.
In a mixing bowl, combine tomato paste, water, and three-quarters of the taco seasoning. Add chili powder and cayenne pepper to the mix, then set it aside for later. In another bowl, blend refried beans, salsa, and diced onion.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until it's nicely browned, draining any excess fat. Mix in the remaining quarter of the taco seasoning and a splash of water, allowing it to simmer for a few minutes before removing it from the heat.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
After the dough cycle finishes, remove the dough and divide it into two equal pieces. Press each piece into a 12-inch pizza pan. Start by spreading the refried bean mixture on the dough, followed by the tomato sauce blend. Add the seasoned ground beef on top and finish with a generous layer of shredded Cheddar cheese.
Place the pizzas in the preheated oven and bake until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 15 minutes. Rotate the pizzas halfway through to ensure even baking.
