Ingredients

  • 2 cups cranberries
  • 1 whole orange
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • a pinch mace
  • 2 cups sweet potatoes

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a 2-quart baking dish, combine cranberries, orange slices, sugar, chopped pecans, fresh orange juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of mace.
  3. Bake the mixture in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until the cranberries soften.
  4. After 30 minutes, carefully fold in the pre-cooked sweet potatoes with the cranberry mixture and return to the oven for an extra 15 minutes until everything is warmed through.
