A delightful, crunchy crispbread perfect for snacking or serving with toppings.
Ingredients
2 cups Flour
1 tablespoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 cup Butter
3/4 cup Buttermilk
Method
Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a spacious mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Blend in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Slowly add buttermilk to the mixture, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
Flour your work surface and roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch. Cut the dough into squares measuring 4 inches, then slice each square diagonally to create triangles. Use a fork to prick the surface of each triangle.
Arrange the triangles on ungreased baking sheets and bake them in the oven for approximately 10 minutes, or until they turn dry and achieve a light golden hue.
