This Strawberry Pretzel Bliss is a delightful no-bake dessert that combines a salty pretzel crust with a creamy cheesecake layer, topped with a beautiful strawberry gelatin mixture. It's a perfect treat for any occasion!
Ingredients
2 cups crushed pretzels
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
8 ounces softened cream cheese
8 ounces whipped topping
1 package gelatin
2 cups boiling water
2 cups frozen strawberries
Method
Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and a tablespoon of sugar. Mix until the pretzels are well coated, then firmly press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden, then allow to cool completely.
Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, whip the softened cream cheese with the remaining cup of sugar until smooth and fluffy. Carefully fold in the whipped topping and spread this creamy mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel base.
In a medium heatproof bowl, dissolve the gelatin in boiling water, stirring until fully melted. Stir in the frozen strawberries until the mixture begins to thicken slightly.
Allow the strawberry gelatin mixture to cool until it is semi-firm but still pourable, then gently pour it over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to set.
