A luscious pie featuring a rich sour cream filling poured over fresh strawberries, topped with a delightful crumb layer, perfect for dessert lovers.
Ingredients
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
1 cup sour cream
⅓ cup flour
1 piece egg
2 cups fresh strawberries
⅓ cup butter
Method
Start by preheating your oven to 450°F (230°C) and adjust the rack to the lowest position.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ¾ cup brown sugar, ¼ cup granulated sugar, sour cream, ¼ cup all-purpose flour, and one egg, mixing until the ingredients are fully blended.
Arrange fresh strawberries in the prepared pie crust and pour the creamy mixture over them, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
In a separate bowl, combine ⅓ cup brown sugar and ⅓ cup flour, then mix in melted butter until you achieve a crumbly consistency.
Evenly distribute the crumb topping over the pie filling.
Place the pie in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for another 45 minutes or until the filling is firm and the top is a lovely golden brown.
Allow the pie to cool completely, preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld beautifully.
