Ingredients
1.5 quarts Fresh strawberries
to taste cups White sugar
8 ounces Cream cheese
1 cup Heavy cream
1/2 cup Confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 loaf Angel food cake
Method
In a spacious mixing bowl, combine 1.5 quarts of fresh strawberries with sugar, gently mashing them using a potato masher. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture to chill.
In a different bowl, whip cream cheese until it is airy and light, then set it aside. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until it reaches soft peaks. Gradually fold in the whipped cream cheese and continue to whip until stiff peaks form, ensuring it holds its shape.
Incorporate confectioners' sugar and vanilla extract into the cream cheese mixture, blending everything together until it is smooth and well combined.
In a large trifle dish, layer half of the angel food cake at the base. Spread one-third of the cream cheese mixture over the cake, followed by a layer of the mashed strawberries. Repeat the layering process, finishing with a layer of cream cheese mixture on top.
Garnish the top with the remaining strawberry slices. Cover the trifle and chill it in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve.
