This Spinach and Cheddar Whole Wheat Quesadilla is a delicious and quick meal, packed with nutritious greens and melty cheese, perfect for any snack or light lunch.
Ingredients
2 pieces whole wheat tortilla
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup fresh spinach
2 tablespoons green onions
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
Method
Start by preheating a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.
Place one whole wheat tortilla into the pan and sprinkle half of the shredded Cheddar cheese evenly on top.
Add a layer of fresh spinach, sliced green onions, garlic powder, and a hint of chili powder over the cheese.
Top it off with the remaining Cheddar cheese and cover with another tortilla.
Cook for approximately 3 minutes, or until the underside of the tortilla turns golden and crispy.
To flip it, gently slide the quesadilla onto a plate, cover it with another plate, and flip it over.
Return the quesadilla to the pan with the crispy side facing down and cook for an additional 3 minutes until the other side is also crisp.
Once done, place the quesadilla on a cutting board and slice it into 8 wedges for serving.
