This Spicy Chickpea Dip is a vibrant, creamy blend of tahini, spices, and garbanzo beans, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 can garbanzo beans
  • as needed cups water

Method

  1. Begin by blending tahini, olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, minced garlic, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, salt, sesame oil, and your preferred hot sauce in a food processor until the mixture is creamy, which should take about 3 minutes.
  2. Add the garbanzo beans to the blender and process for another 2 minutes, ensuring everything is well mixed.
  3. Slowly incorporate water to reach your ideal consistency, blending for an extra 3 minutes.
  4. Spoon the dip into a container and refrigerate to allow the flavors to meld together.
