This Smoky Flank Steak Jerky Delight is a flavorful and satisfying snack, combining a rich marinade with the perfect smoking technique for a deliciously tender and smoky jerky.
Ingredients
1 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup cranberry-grape juice
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1/4 cup steak sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 pounds flank steak
Method
In a large bowl, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cranberry-grape juice, teriyaki sauce, hot sauce, steak sauce, brown sugar, and freshly cracked black pepper until everything is well combined.
Pour the marinade into a large resealable bag and add the flank steak, ensuring it is completely covered by the marinade. Remove excess air from the bag and seal it tightly. Refrigerate for 8 to 10 hours to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
Once marinated, remove the flank steak from the bag and gently pat it dry to remove any excess marinade. Place the steak strips on the wire racks of your smoker, ensuring they are positioned closely but not touching.
Smoke the steak according to your smoker's guidelines, using four pans of wood chips, one for each hour of smoking. Continue this process until the jerky is fully dried and becomes brittle when bent, which typically takes around 6 to 8 hours.
