A hearty and flavorful dish featuring tender meatballs smothered in a creamy sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 large egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup cream of wheat
1 medium onion
2 cans creamy soup
1 cup evaporated milk
to taste fresh parsley
Method
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a spacious mixing bowl, whisk together an egg and some milk until fully combined. Add in ground beef, cream of wheat, and finely diced onion, mixing until everything is evenly distributed.
Form the mixture into small balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a greased baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in your preheated oven for around 20 minutes, or until they turn a delightful golden brown.
Once baked, if there is any excess grease, carefully blot it away with paper towels. Then, transfer the meatballs into a greased 2-quart casserole dish.
In a separate bowl, combine the soups with evaporated milk, stirring until the mixture is smooth. Pour this creamy concoction over the meatballs.
Put the casserole back into the oven and bake it uncovered for another 40 minutes.
Before serving, add a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top for a touch of color and flavor.
