These savory oven-roasted steak bites are marinated in a flavorful blend of soy sauce, spices, and sweeteners, then roasted to perfection for a delicious main course.
Ingredients
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon molasses
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
to taste none salt
to taste none black pepper
1/2 cup beef broth
1 pound steak tips
Method
In a sizable glass or ceramic mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, mustard, maple syrup, molasses, sesame oil, cinnamon, cloves, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Introduce the steak bites to the marinade, tossing them to ensure every piece is evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, or up to 24 hours for deeper flavor.
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to prepare for roasting.
Remove the steak bites from the marinade, allowing any excess liquid to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
Arrange the steak bites in a baking dish and pour beef broth into the bottom to keep them moist during cooking.
Roast in the preheated oven for around 25 minutes, turning the steak bites halfway through the cooking time. They should be hot, slightly pink in the center, and firm when touched. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C) for perfect medium doneness.
