These savory mushroom beef bites are a delightful fusion of flavors, featuring tender meatballs simmered in a creamy mushroom sauce.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 large eggs
1 cup crushed saltines
1 pack onion soup mix
2 tablespoons butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3/4 cup milk
Method
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, crushed saltine crackers, and a packet of onion soup mix. Form the mixture into medium-sized balls.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the beef balls to the skillet; cover and cook, turning them occasionally until they are evenly browned, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
In another bowl, mix together a can of cream of mushroom soup with milk, filling the can about three-quarters full with milk. Stir thoroughly to ensure a smooth blend.
Pour the creamy soup mixture over the browned beef bites and allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes, letting the sauce thicken and envelop the meatballs.
