Ingredients

  • 4 pieces bread rolls
  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup bacon
  • 2 pieces green onions
  • 6 pieces eggs
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

Method

  1. Gather all your ingredients and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut each bread roll into 8 equal pieces.
  3. Spread the bread pieces on a baking sheet in a single layer and toast them in the oven for about 10 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  4. In a 1 1/2-quart baking dish, layer the toasted bread pieces. Sprinkle 1/4 cup each of Swiss and Cheddar cheese, half of the diced bacon, and two chopped green onions on top. Gently shake the dish to mix everything.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour this egg mixture over the bread layers, pressing down to ensure the cubes soak up the liquid.
