Ingredients
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic
4 cups cabbage
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Chinese cooking wine
Method
Heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Once hot, add minced garlic and sauté until it turns a lovely golden brown, taking about 3 to 5 seconds.
Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet, making sure each piece is coated in the flavorful oil. Cover the skillet and let it steam for about 1 minute.
Pour in the soy sauce and give the mixture a good stir, cooking for another minute. Increase the heat to high and add in some Chinese cooking wine. Keep stirring and cook until the cabbage reaches your desired tenderness, which should take around 2 additional minutes.
