1 cup soy milk
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons vegan butter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup spelt flour
2 tablespoons sugar

Method
In a large bowl, mix together soy milk, water, melted plant-based butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
In a separate bowl, combine spelt flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Slowly mix in the soy milk blend to the dry ingredients, stirring until you achieve a smooth batter.
