A vibrant and nutty green sauce featuring Swiss chard and pecans, perfect for drizzling over your favorite dishes or using as a dip.
Ingredients
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 bunch Swiss chard
2 cloves garlic
1 cup fresh basil
1/2 cup pecans
to taste sea salt
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 tablespoon lemon juice
to taste black pepper
Method
Heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Incorporate the Swiss chard and minced garlic, sautéing until the chard is tender and wilted, approximately 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
In a food processor, blend together fresh basil, pecans, sea salt, grated Parmesan cheese, and the remaining olive oil until well combined.
Once the Swiss chard has cooled, add it to the food processor along with a splash of lemon juice. Pulse until the mixture is smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper as needed.
