Ingredients

  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup chocolate-covered peanuts

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, blend maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a dash of cinnamon until it begins to bubble.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped pecans, sliced almonds, raisins, dried cranberries, and sunflower seeds.
  4. Pour the warm syrup mixture over the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly to ensure an even coating.
  5. Spread the mixture out evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for around 15 minutes, or until the granola turns a lovely golden color. Once done, transfer it to a cool baking sheet to halt the cooking process.
  7. After it has cooled to room temperature, break the mixture into clusters and fold in chocolate-covered peanuts.
