Ingredients

  • 4 cups Tomatoes
  • 2 cups Bread
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 1.5-quart baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix together diced tomatoes, chunks of bread, a dash of sugar, melted butter, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes, or until the tomatoes are soft and the dish is thoroughly warmed.
