This Grilled Surf and Turf Extravaganza features succulent shrimp and juicy steaks, marinated to perfection and grilled for a delightful meal that combines the best of land and sea.

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tablespoons white wine
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 2 pieces steaks
  • to taste pepper

Method

  1. Gather all the ingredients you will need for the dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, melted butter, finely diced onion, white wine, Worcestershire sauce, freshly squeezed lemon juice, chopped parsley, seafood seasoning, minced garlic, and a dash of pepper. Whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add the shrimp to this marinade, ensuring they are completely coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors infuse.
  4. Preheat your grill to a medium-high setting and lightly grease the grates to prevent sticking. Rub the steaks with olive oil and sprinkle your preferred steak seasoning generously over them.
  5. Grill the steaks for approximately 5 to 7 minutes per side, until they reach a firm texture and a slight pinkness remains in the center for medium doneness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature hits 140°F (60°C). Once cooked, transfer the steaks to a serving plate and cover them loosely with aluminum foil to keep warm.
  6. Take the shrimp out of the marinade and place them on the grill. Cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes until the shrimp are a vibrant pink and the flesh is opaque.
  7. Serve the grilled shrimp next to the steaks and savor your exquisite surf and turf creation!
