A delicious grilled sirloin salad topped with crispy fries, fresh vegetables, and melted mozzarella for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
2 pieces sirloin steaks
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
to taste teaspoon salt
to taste teaspoon black pepper
1 pound French fries
1 head romaine lettuce
1 medium cucumber
2 pieces hard-boiled eggs
1 cup croutons
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Method
Start by coating the sirloin steaks in vegetable oil, then generously season with salt and pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
Preheat your grill to a medium-high setting and lightly oil the grill grate to avoid sticking.
Set your oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with a light spray of cooking oil.
Arrange the French fries evenly on the baking sheet.
Bake the fries in the oven until they are lightly golden brown, approximately 15 minutes.
While the fries are baking, grill the seasoned steaks on the hot grill. Cook them for about 6 to 8 minutes on each side until they are firm with a hint of pink in the center. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for a temperature of 140°F (60°C). Once cooked, place the steaks on a cutting board.
In a large bowl, mix chopped romaine lettuce, diced cucumber, and sliced hard-boiled eggs. Layer the crispy fries on top of this salad mixture.
Slice the grilled steaks into bite-sized chunks and place them over the fries. Top the salad with croutons and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.
