This Ginger-Glazed Pork Stir-Fry is a delightful and flavorful dish that combines tender pork with fresh vegetables and a savory ginger marinade.
Ingredients
1 medium daikon radish
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sake
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon fresh ginger
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tablespoon mirin
1 pound pork slices
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium onion
to taste salt
to taste black pepper
Method
In a spacious bowl, combine daikon radish, soy sauce, sake, sesame oil, freshly grated ginger, minced garlic, and mirin. Add the pork slices and allow them to marinate for about 5 minutes.
Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until soft and translucent, which should take about 3 to 5 minutes.
Remove the pork from the marinade and transfer it to the wok. Stir-fry the pork until it turns a rich golden brown, taking roughly 3 to 5 minutes.
Introduce the leftover marinade to the wok, cover it, and let it simmer until it begins to bubble, around 5 minutes.
Before serving, season the dish with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your preference.
