This Ginger-Glazed Pork Stir-Fry is a delightful and flavorful dish that combines tender pork with fresh vegetables and a savory ginger marinade.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium daikon radish
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 pound pork slices
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Method

  1. In a spacious bowl, combine daikon radish, soy sauce, sake, sesame oil, freshly grated ginger, minced garlic, and mirin. Add the pork slices and allow them to marinate for about 5 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until soft and translucent, which should take about 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the pork from the marinade and transfer it to the wok. Stir-fry the pork until it turns a rich golden brown, taking roughly 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Introduce the leftover marinade to the wok, cover it, and let it simmer until it begins to bubble, around 5 minutes.
  5. Before serving, season the dish with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your preference.
