This savory quiche combines crispy bacon, fresh spinach, and a rich egg mixture, all baked in a flaky pie crust, making it a perfect dish for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Method

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat, turning it occasionally until it becomes golden and crispy, which should take around 10 minutes. Once done, transfer the bacon to a paper towel to absorb excess grease, then chop it into small pieces.
  3. Take a 9-inch pie dish and fit the pie crust inside it, setting it aside for later use.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, a splash of hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Evenly distribute the fresh spinach over the bottom of the pie crust. Next, scatter the chopped bacon, followed by a hearty sprinkle of Cheddar cheese and some sliced green onions. Finally, pour the egg mixture over everything and top it off with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
  6. Place the quiche in the oven and bake it until the top is puffy and golden, and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean, which should take about 35 to 45 minutes.
