This delicious stromboli is filled with a savory mixture of ground beef, veggies, and pepperoni, wrapped in golden pizza dough for a delightful meal or snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium bell peppers
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 package pizza dough
  • 4 ounces pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Method

  1. Gather all the ingredients you will need for the recipe.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 10x15-inch baking sheet.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5 to 7 minutes, then drain any excess fat.
  4. Add the diced bell peppers and onions to the skillet, cooking them until they soften, which should take around 5 minutes. Remove from heat once done.
  5. Incorporate the diced ham, sliced mushrooms, and pizza sauce into the skillet, mixing everything well, and set the filling aside.
  6. Roll out the pizza dough onto the greased baking sheet, shaping it into a rectangle roughly 9x13 inches.
  7. On one half of the dough, layer half of the pepperoni, keeping it within 1/2 inch of the edges.
  8. Spread the meat and vegetable mixture over the pepperoni layer.
  9. Top with the remaining pepperoni and a generous amount of shredded cheese.
  10. Carefully fold the dough over the filling to create a sealed pocket.
  11. Pinch the edges together to ensure the filling is securely enclosed.
  12. Using a sharp knife, make small slits on the top of the dough to allow steam to escape during baking.
  13. Brush the top of the stromboli with melted butter for a beautiful golden crust.
  14. Place the stromboli in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the surface is a lovely golden brown.
