This crunchy stovetop granola is a quick and easy snack that's perfect for breakfast or anytime you need a nutritious boost. Packed with oats, nuts, and dried fruits, it's deliciously customizable to fit your taste.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 cups oats
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

Method

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oats and stir frequently for about 5 minutes until they start to turn a golden brown color and become crispy. Once done, remove from heat and spread the oats onto a baking sheet to cool.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in honey and brown sugar, mixing continuously until the mixture bubbles. Once bubbly, add the toasted oats back into the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring often. Then, pour the mixture back onto the baking sheet to cool completely.
  3. After the mixture has cooled, transfer the granola to an airtight container and fold in the almonds and dried cranberries. You can also incorporate any other nuts or dried fruits of your choice at this point.
