Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 8 tablespoons pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • to taste pepperoni slices
  • as needed cooking spray

Method

  1. In a large bowl, mix self-rising flour and Greek yogurt until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes on a floured surface, adding extra flour as needed to keep it from sticking.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 325°F (165°C) according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lightly coat the basket with cooking spray.
  3. Divide the dough into four equal pieces, rolling each into a circle approximately 1/8-inch thick on a floured surface. Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on the lower half of each circle, then sprinkle with 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese and add a few slices of pepperoni. Fold the dough over to form a half-moon and crimp the edges to seal.
  4. Arrange the calzones in the air fryer basket, cooking them in batches if necessary. Air fry for 4 minutes, then carefully flip them and cook for an additional 4 to 5 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
