These delightful crescent rolls are shaped like carrots and filled with a creamy spinach mixture, making them a fun and tasty treat that’s perfect for gatherings or snacks.
Ingredients
1 package crescent dough
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup spinach
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
to taste salt
to taste pepper
Method
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Create cone-shaped molds using rolled aluminum foil. Divide the crescent dough into four rectangular pieces, sealing the seams by pressing them together.
With a pizza cutter, slice each rectangle lengthwise into two strips. Begin wrapping one strip around the base of the foil mold, securing the tip by pinching it. Follow with another strip, overlapping slightly to form the shape of a carrot.
Arrange the wrapped molds on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring there is about an inch of space between each.
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until they achieve a beautiful golden brown hue. Once baked, let them cool completely before gently removing the foil molds.
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, spinach, garlic powder, and nutmeg until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Fill a piping bag with the creamy spinach mixture and carefully pipe it into each of the carrot-shaped rolls.
