Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 2 cups crawfish
  • 1 cup onions
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Method

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium flame and add a mixture of butter and olive oil, allowing them to blend.
  2. Sprinkle in garlic powder and toss in the diced mushrooms, cooking until the mushrooms are tender, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the crawfish and chopped onions into the skillet, reducing the heat and letting it simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, freshly chopped parsley, and half-and-half, allowing it to simmer gently for another 5 minutes.
  5. Finish by adding crushed red pepper and Creole seasoning, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
