1 pound Steak strips
1/4 cup Fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
1/4 cup Chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
1 large Onion
1 large Green bell pepper
1 whole Lemon
to taste na Salt
to taste na Pepper
4 pieces Tortillas
Method
Combine fresh lime juice, cracked black pepper, and finely chopped cilantro in a shallow dish to make a zesty marinade. Add the steak strips and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours to absorb the flavors.
Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, add the marinated steak strips and cook to your preferred level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil and toss in sliced onions. Sauté over medium-low heat until the onions are soft and translucent. Next, add sliced green bell peppers along with the previously cooked steak. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the mixture and stir well. Cook until the peppers are slightly tender, then take the skillet off the heat. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to your liking.
Serve the citrusy steak fajitas with warm tortillas and lemon wedges on the side for an added zest.
