  • 1 whole nectarine

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend freshly squeezed orange juice, soy sauce, honey, a splash of hot sauce, brown sugar, minced ginger, and minced garlic until well combined. Set this vibrant citrus sauce aside.
  2. On a spacious plate, mix flour with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Slice the chicken breasts into strips, each about half an inch wide. Dredge each piece in the seasoned flour, ensuring they are evenly coated, and add a touch more salt and pepper on top.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the floured chicken strips and cook them until they turn a lovely golden brown, about 1 to 2 minutes per side. Once browned, pour in the prepared citrus sauce. Reduce the heat and let it simmer uncovered until the sauce thickens and the chicken is thoroughly cooked, which should take around 8 to 10 minutes.   4. Plate the zesty chicken and garnish with fresh slices of nectarine for a burst of color and flavor.
