Ingredients

  • 6 slices Bread slices
  • 1 cup Kielbasa
  • 1 medium Onions
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese
  • 6 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Half and half
  • a dash Nutmeg

Method

  1. Start by greasing a 9x13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray. Lay down a foundation of bread slices, followed by layers of diced kielbasa, sautéed onions, and a generous amount of shredded cheese.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt, and pepper until the mixture is smooth. Pour this egg blend evenly over the layered ingredients, making sure all the bread is soaked. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and cover the dish to chill in the refrigerator overnight.
