These sweet candied peanuts are perfect for snacking or as a delightful treat. Roasted to perfection, they combine the crunch of peanuts with a sugary glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups peanuts
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water, heating over medium flame. Stir continuously until the mixture boils and the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Introduce the peanuts into the sweet syrup and cook while stirring often until they are fully coated and the syrup thickens and reduces.
  4. Spread the syrup-coated peanuts out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for approximately 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure even caramelization.
