A hearty slow-cooked medley of potatoes, sausage, and green beans, seasoned with Cajun spices for a flavorful and comforting meal.
Ingredients
4 cups diced potatoes
1 medium onion
2 tablespoons olive oil
to taste salt
to taste black pepper
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 pound smoked sausage
2 cups green beans
1 packet onion soup mix
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 tablespoons butter
Method
Start by placing diced potatoes and finely chopped onion at the bottom of your slow cooker. Drizzle with olive oil and generously season with salt, pepper, and a dash of Cajun spice. Mix everything together to ensure even coating.
Layer sliced smoked sausage and fresh green beans over the potato and onion mixture. Sprinkle onion soup mix and garlic powder on top for an extra flavor boost. Dot with small pieces of butter across the surface.
Cover the slow cooker and set it to the Low setting. Cook for 6 to 7 hours or until the potatoes are tender and the flavors meld together beautifully. Stir occasionally during cooking and just before serving to enhance the taste. Enjoy hot.
