These BBQ Bacon-Jalapeño Delights are a mouthwatering appetizer featuring spicy jalapeños stuffed with creamy goodness and savory brisket, all wrapped in crispy bacon and finished with a tangy BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 pieces jalapeños
  • 12 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 24 ounces brisket
  • 12 slices bacon
  • to taste none BBQ sauce
  • to taste none salt
  • to taste none pepper

Method

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Prepare the jalapeños by creating a 'T' shape cut: slice vertically down the center and crosswise just below the stem without cutting through, then scoop out the seeds and membranes with a spoon. Arrange them on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake the jalapeños in the oven for 10 minutes.
  4. After baking, immerse the jalapeños in a bowl of ice water for a few minutes to eliminate any lingering oils. Gently dry them using a paper towel.
  5. Increase the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fill each jalapeño with 1 tablespoon of cream cheese, followed by roughly 2 ounces of brisket, and wrap each popper with a slice of bacon. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the top before placing them back on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake the stuffed jalapeños for 30 minutes. Once they are cooked, apply a layer of your favorite BBQ sauce on top and return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
