  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

Method

  1. Start by heating your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until fluffy and pale.
  3. Incorporate the egg, then mix in the vanilla and almond extracts until well blended.
  4. In a different bowl, combine the flour and cornstarch, and gradually fold this dry mix into the butter mixture until fully integrated.
  5. Spoon the dough into a cookie press and pipe onto ungreased baking sheets in desired shapes.
